Our coir is also from the south of india and is supplied in herringbone and boucle weave. Coir is derived from the husk of a coconut and is cleaned and spun into a very strong yarn suitable for making four metre wide broadloom carpeting. It is important to note that Kambali coir is very tightly spun and woven on a powerloom and not a hand shuttle loom as used by many of our competitors. This feature does have a cost implication but wearability is much improved.
